Royal Hill

There is something quite unusual, and absolutely brilliant, about knowing that the weather is going to be nice for a while and being able to plan things and not wondering whether plans are going to be hampered by bad weather. It is glorious.

The Royal Hill is a pub on the River Severn which is a mecca for cyclists, kayakers and campers. It also sits nicely between my house and the parents house with both routes taking you on lovely Shropshire lanes. This afternoon we rode out to meet up for a beer in the sunshine.

Rather hilariously, an older lady pulled out in front of me and obviously hadn't checked her mirrors. I was mildly cross and she was ridiculously embarrassed. Through various hand gestures we then made our peace. Then, because there was some kind of 'open gardens' affair going on all around the back lanes, we kept on passing each other and waving at each other like we were best friends.

Days like this are the absolute business.
