Golden Angels Trumpet

This beautiful plant is also known at Brugmansia Hetty Kraus. We purchased this tree/bush in September 1998 in Cambria, California, at a lovely garden store called "Heart's Ease." In the past several years the tiny coastal community of Cayucos, which sits just a few miles south of Cambria, has become a favorite place, so this plant gives us a nice connection to California's Central Coast. We're planning to go to the Central Coast, to Cayucos, for the days surrounding my birthday. I can hardly wait!

For the past several years the plant has not produced any blossoms, so we were both excited to see these. There were maybe a half-dozen or so flowers today. They only last a day or so, but they are so pretty.
