Schwarzee

After travelling for almost three days we were pleased that today was a free day. We decided to catch the local train to Schwarzee and walk around the black lake. As the next train after we got to the station did not stop at Schwarzee we got off at Kitzbuhel and walk from there. After walking most of the way around the lake we stopped here for our picnic lunch. The hotel where we are staying provide carrier bags, water, fruit, fruit juice plus rolls and fillings so that residents can make their own picnic lunches.

As we would have had to wait another hour for our train we decided to walk back to Kitzbuhel and have a beer before getting our train back to St Johann. We have walked 7.5 miles in total today so we should sleep well tonight.

As we were walking around the lake I photographed 3 different butterflies, a lizard and some wildflowers which I was hoping to post as extras but the WiFi is very slow here so I think it wise not to try.
