„GaiaMotherTree“ by Ernesto Neto

Finally it has become clear to me what I have seen a few days ago ‚under construction‘. It‘s a monumental sculpture in Zürich main station by the Brazilian artist Ernesto Neto. It forms a tree and is made of hand-knotted strips of cloth. The hanging elements are filled with aromatic spices and seeds. In the middle of the structure is a walk-in area.
