From an upstairs window
Florence's* first trip out and we have made it to our first overnight, without any incidents or the need for divorce lawyers.
We stopped off at Croome Park on the way and looked around the house before a walk over to the lake. The top floor of the house is only accessible with one of the volunteers, so we were lucky to have arrived at the bottom of the stairs just as one was passing and she offered to show us around. It is quire fascinating - lots of really beautiful furniture stored away safely, but not so that it is not possible to see much of the wonderful workmanship, and the view from some of the windows out onto the Capability Brown landscapes are quite something to see.
Tewkesbury tomorrow - so possibly a blip of the Abbey?
We also went to the weighbridge just on the northern edge of Warwick. Thankfully, Florence is under her maximum loading and there is enough payload left for our bikes and warm clothes once the weather cools down.
*Florence is our motorhome.
