Viking Raider

A quick visit to the Hospital for blood tests this afternoon. I tend to park off site and walk in, so I ended up passing this model of a Viking ship outside the local cine multiplex and alongside the canal.

At least it occupied my mind wondering why it had been erected as I walked towards the phlebotomist! There was a time when I would have run a mile from a needle. Now the abiding thought is why I ever worried about injections, there’s more pain removing the surgical tape they use to hold the cotton wool over the point of entry.
