Xanthoria parietina

OK, I didn't know what it was called either. It's yellow lichen to me.

After breakfast took my wife to her French Class, followed by her volunteer work. This left me at a loose end so went off for another walk to the sailing club.

On the way I saw these yellow lichen growing in the hedge. It looks so simple, yet when you crop a close up it is wonderful how the detail comes out.

Finished off by getting some Euros for our trip to Nice, and fish and chips on the way home. Lovely!
