Leycesteria formosa
Rushed around this morning making sure the car was filled up for the trip to the airport in the morning and we had a few Euros to get us going when we land in Nice.
Took the camera out and found this flowering in the park. I had no idea what it was but a bit of Googleing has come up with an answer. It's a Leycesteria formosa or Himalayan Honeysuckle.
It's a small tree about 3m high, with broad palmate green leaves, and with these lovely small, white trumpet shaped flowers on purple bracts.
That's it for now. Must pack. Will try and BLIP whilst away.
