Abstract Thursday: Rural

Ingeborg (thanks Ingeborg!) has suggested the theme of "Rural" for today's Abstract Thursday blips.

I didn't have time to go out in the country so had to look for rural-type scenes locally. I took several photos of parts of Killingworth Lake and its surroundings, and then had fun with them in Photoshop. I chose 3 of them to layer together with the "Lighten" mode. I inverted the colours of one of the layers and used the "Stylize - Find Edges" function on another, then adjusted the relative opacities until I was happy that I'd created a rather psychedelic 1960s sort of effect (after all, I was a teenager in the '60s so why not?!).

You'll probably either like it or hate it, but that's "art" for you...!
