The promise of new life

The day started off sunny but just before I had to leave for the sanctuary it clouded over. Fortunately the sun reappeared when I reached the park and I was able to find a few potential blips before starting my walk with one of the dogs. When I got home I soon narrowed it down to two photos of a pair of leaf-buds. I was very tempted to choose the shot with a blue sky as background but eventually decided to pick this one.

It looks like I may well have to resort to an indoor blip tomorrow as a lot of rain is forecast for the entire day.
