Lozarhythm Of The Day:
Asa-Chang and Junray - Hana (recorded 2001)
This is about a frightened flower that blooms in a very windy spot and doubts its own existence. Asa Chang is an in-demand session player, who played on some of Japan's most saccharine pop acts, but in the evening pursued experimental off-the-wall projects of his own. Junray ('pilgrimage') is the name of his sound system. He formed Asa Chang and Junray in 1998 with programmer and guitarist Hidehiko Urayama. They were joined in 2000 by U-zhaan on tablas. This piece was John Peel's Festive 50 No. 17 in 2002.
