Six spot burnet

I noticed there were some red moths fluttering around in our meadow and spent some considerable time stalking them, trying to get a photo.  They were very uncooperative, rarely settling, and when they did settle, seemingly always doing so with their fronts towards me, so I couldn't get a photo of their beautiful red spotted wings.

Then I noticed this couple, which were so busy making babies that I was able to move aside the intervening vegetation and take as many photos as I wanted.

I know these are not rare, but I haven't seen them in our meadow before.
