Woodall Spa 40's weekend

The NHS is indeed a precious institution and Mrs TT, a recent beneficiary of the system, had hoped to meet up with the ward sister she now volunteers with.  We expected to hear her singing forties songs but, in fact, she was manning the NHS stall wearing her vintage uniform (it was too hot to wear the cape.) The streets were packed with scores of vintage vehicles, World War two military encampments and plenty of period street entertainment.  A Spitfire and Lancaster also did a fly past.
