From Edinburgh to Holy Island by bike and train
It's been another amazing sunny summer's day. Long may this heatwave continue!
Mr hazelh and I opted to spend most of our day in England. We caught the London train from Edinburgh Waverley to Berwick-upon-Tweed at 10:30, then cycled 15 miles down the coast and across the causeway to Holy Island.
There we met my middle sister, her husband, our niece and her boyfriend for lunch at the house (quiche containing salmon caught by my brother-in-law) and a walk around the island. Then we jumped back on our bikes for the return trip to Edinburgh.
I took my blip from the end of the pier at the harbour (where, in the distant past, my sisters and I used to fish for crabs). My first extra (after Poldark) was taken on our walk. The second shows the pair of us with our bikes outside the house just before we set off north again.
Exercise today: cycling (32 miles); walking (12,395 steps)
