Hick Kicks!!
Second Saturday in November is THE high point on the calendar for most of the young folk in Adelaide and beyond - it's the day Father Christmas comes to town, and sets himself up in the Magic Cave until Christmas Eve. Then everyone knows, he starts his flight to deliver presents to little girls and boys all over the world. The thing is - this is the REAL Father Christmas - all the other ones you see around the place are only his helpers, because he can't be everywhere at once.
The Pageant winds its way around the city streets for more than 5km, and we were towards the very end, where Father Christmas gets off his float and enters the Magic Cave.
So this lovely girl had high kicked her way for more than 5 km, and she could still do it with a bright smile for all of the thousands of children who lined the streets to watch her. And there were a few adults watching too, including me and the Rower.
And if you want to see proof that Father Christmas has arrived, head over to the Rower's Blip and see for yourself.
