RAF Celebrates One Hundred Years

We spent the morning watching the service of celebration from Westminster Abbey then the magnificent flypast of one hundred planes, including three of the newest, the F35 Lighting stealth fighter(see extra 1). The finale was taken by 22 Typhoons in formation to read 100 and to complete the show the parade arranged personnel to spell RAF 100(extra 2).

It was a truly impressive feat of planning and flying, Her Majesty appeared to enjoy the event and to be proud of her air force.
