View from the Braids

Not much bike maintenance at this time of year. Check the tyre pressure, wipe down the chain, adjust the brakes. That's it.

The afternoon was spent at Hermiston Gait retail park. Its a tramride from the centre of town taking about 15 minutes. Pound World is closing down, so search for some bargains, then browse around Decathlon and a couple of other shops. Unfortunately, there's no coffee shop (walking to Krispy Kreme involves crossing a busy road that links on to the Edinburgh Bypass) So tram ride back in to town, and a 2 minute walk to a café.

Not having got my blip, I wait until I am home, and go up to the Braid hills. Looking ENE, back to front, it shows North Berwick Law and Bass Rock on the horizon, East Lothian, Gullane Sands and Gosford Bay, Firth of Forth, then East Edinburgh (Brunstane and Craigmillar) If the sky looks odd, clouds are moving in from the west.
