Common Blue

This year has been fabulous for blipping butterflies - indeed all sorts of insect life has been far more in evidence this year than for quite some time.  This is my first Common Blue and I'd been told where I could find it but it was only today that it stayed around long enough for me to get a shot.

We had to go back to see the eye surgeon this morning and he confirmed everything was fine and  that Jack can go back for the second procedure a week on Monday.  There's been less sun today but no rain as yet, although it's been forecast and the gardens could certainly do with it.
