Fallow Deer

We had a run out to Dunham Massey today but unfortunately the house, stables and restaurant don't open on Friday's so in that sense we chose the wrong day. However it was still worth going and I really enjoyed seeing the deer.  We only re-joined the National Trust last year and now every time we go to one of their properties and get free parking and admission it just brings home how worthwhile it is to be a member.

The deer were lovely and came in various ages and sizes but I found it almost impossible to get them to look directly at the camera.  They keep an eye on what's happening but act so nonchalant that they make you believe they're not aware of you until they suddenly take off and are gone.
