Drama in the sky

I'd been in a photographic workshop all day (with the curtains closed) and as I came out of the building at around 4pm I was amazed to see the end of what had clearly been a beautiful day. This amazing bank of cloud was lighting up the sky and forming a backdrop to the trees. I guess that it might be linked to the power station that is out of sight beyond the hill - not sure though, but a blip opportunity not to be missed.
A visit to my mum on the way home and then finally a drive home in the dark. And would you believe it - the fireworks were going off again! It's almost a week since bonfire night!
