Forrester Coat of Arms, Corstorphine Kirk

Misty and murky again for the morning cycle ride. Enjoying th elack of vehicles as the school holidays are in the second week (in Scotland!!!)

Walked up to Corstorphine Kirk at lunchtime. The coat of arms on the gate seems to be that of Forrester, a nearby high school has that name as well. More than likely linked to the Barony of Corstorphine as it was sold to Adam Forrester, see the history of the Barony of Corstorphine website here.

Walked back to the office along Station Rd, Corstorphine station has long since disappeared, and most is now an off road cycle path to Balgreen Rd.

A nice sunny ride home, with a bit of an east wind.
