Cally motte

Over in Galloway now, for a couple of weeks or so. Billeted for a couple of nights at #1 daughter's, until I go pitch the tent a couple of miles down the road, on Wednesday.
Took the dogs, Cally and Ginny, to Cally Woods on the Cally estate, and up to Cally motte.
I didn't know there was one, and I've been visiting the area for 25 years! I'm familiar with Cardonness castle, which is across the Fleet river, but this one's new to me!

Needless to say, Cally, the Romanian Rescue, decided to be an absolute little monkey tonight, and got herself well hidden away, tearing about the place.
As for Ginny...well an enormous black Labrador is hard to lose!
