Chorthippus brunneus

We were going up to Edinburgh to spend a few days with Katkatkat.  I took the usual shots at the much altered Annandale Water services.  The alterations as far as I am concerned are a backward step.  In the past you could sit outside and look over the lake, now if you want to be outside you sit beside the road with all the cars passing to park or leave.

Having made it to Edinburgh we picker Kat up from work.  She finished early using some of her TOIL time.  I had never come across this acronym before = Time Of In Lieu.  The first job was to drop off somethings we had bought at the allotment.

While we were there I spotted this little guy.  As far as I can make out it is a Common Field Grasshopper.  I find grasshoppers don't sit still while I take shots so having got a halfway decent shot it just had to be the blip.
