Crosman E9A Air Pistol

Not long back I Blipped Pauline’s dad’s old Webley Typhoon air pistol.  At the time we could not find a value, but shortly after I had uploaded we found the same gun being sold for £250 – much to our delight, but NOT for sale.
 
Today we had a similar experience, but totally unexpected.
 
We bought this Crosman E9A pistol just four years ago for about less than £100.  What we did not know then was it went out of production in the 1990’s, and I’m certain the dealer didn’t know it was a collectors item, perhaps just old stock.  Today I was doing some Googling and discovered the info on it, and what’s more found that it’s going price is about £200.  Like the Typhoon though it’s not for sale.
 
Next to research must be our BSA Scorpion.  Now that’s over forty years old and still going strong.
