Autumn tree, Tyninghame

Have a friend staying with me this weekend and she has been driving us about the countryside which has been great - I love Edinburgh, but it's good to get out of the city, particularly as I've been cooped up in my flat recently because of a hip replacement. Today we went out to East Lothian and did a circuit taking in East Linton, Smeaton Nursery (for lunch), Tyninghame village (where this picture was taken), North Berwick and the coastal route back to Edinburgh. We were lucky with the weather, as you can see. We finished off the day with a meal and then The Sapphires - a really interesting feel-good film.
