Attractive Stone Building

I like this old building.

It is set in a walled meadow of an acre or so of land.

I think it was once a cottage. There is a stone barn like annex beside it and there is an old water well to the rear of the building.

The grass is always nicely cut and the ivy trimmed. In my imagination, it would have been inhabited by a tenant farmer, linked to the big farm, which exists nearby.

The Pugs and I walk down the old country lane past this old building almost daily.

Update
My wife says, and the internet supports, that some of the farm buildings on this lane are Listed and of historical interest going back to 16th and 17th century.
