Blue Steel

Another day in Hawaii, another beach. After a very early rise to check the sunrise, which was too cloudy after a very wet and windy night, we then slept in later than intended however managed to cram in a full day of exploring beaches, excellent meal (and the first wine we've had for weeks!), another late night swim and jacuzzi while our washing got done.
After an explore of the black sands of Hana Bay we took the hotel shuttle bus to this beach, Hamoa, only a few miles away. The waves were big and scary and we took the bus driver's advice on the safest part of the beach. This still meant big waves and after being turned upside down a few times I was exhausted and took a walk. Mr H, who never goes in the sea at home seems to be in his element jumping the waves. Miss H stuck to the shallows and warned us about getting too close to the rocks. A big fishy meal and some Longboard Merlot seemed appropriate after this day.
