Hawk....

....sitting on a phone wire, where I spotted him in advance, so had time to pull over onto the shoulder of the road right in front of him. I grabbed the camera and took a shot through the window, just in case the lowering of the window scared him off (it didn't). None of these are cropped, as I was so close to him--couldn't have been more than 10 or 12 feet. 
I was on my way home from Cedarburg, where I'd met my sister for a late breakfast and a little retail therapy. She bought a picture of a sheep and I found black "chalkboard" place mats that came with erasable markers--perfect for Mae to use at the table, as she likes to "draw" (scribble) & better to do it on the place mats than on my tablecloth! :))
