Wildflowers
The white flower is Hedge Bindweed, an invasive plant that grows horizontally first, wrapping itself around other plants and traveling quickly. If it comes across a vertical support it will climb that as well(see extra). It has trumpet shaped flowers that open in the morning and close at night, earning it the nickname of Morning Glory. Invasive or not, it's beautiful to see huge masses of these out in the fields, surrounded by other wild flowers. In my blip, it's surrounded by Yellow Birdsfoot Trefoil, pink vetch and a bit of clover.
Started out overcast this morning, then the rain began about 10:00. It's continued all day, sometimes very heavily and and at other times slowing to a light drizzle, & the temperature is a fabulous 68 degrees (F). Love it!
Thanks to Anni/BikerBear for hosting FlowerFriday, and to Miranda1008 for hosting WildflowerWeek!! Happy Weekend everybody! :))
