If Carlsberg made rugby fans....
.... they wouldn't make the Murrayfield crowd. Booing of opposing kickers has reached daft levels, to the extent that there was an announcement late in the second half asking the crowd that they show respect for the players of both sides and don't boo when someone is kicking. This announcement was booed. But then the Haka was booed as well, which gave hint to what was to come.
No crowd that indulges in such poor sportsmanship can lay any claim whatsoever to being the best fans in the world. Scotland, formerly the best fans in the world...
The morning started with a ride out to try and find some Waxwings (no luck), which saw me chatting to a couple of people separately from the LothianBirdNews website (the second of which, in the Figgy, pointed out the visiting Gadwall - a first ever for me). Then various wee chores (from making potato scones to breakfast to getting the winter ice tyres onto the mountain bike) had to be completed before rushing to the rugby.
It's been a really good, if hectic, weekend. Now more or less over. Booooooo!
