In Scarboro: For those who perished on the sea x

This is Leslie. We held hands at the Remembrance service at the Lifeboat house in Scarborough today. He told me, he served in the Merchant Navy through all the 'just about everywhere'. He also said, in referring to his medals and the what he had seen was all he know was 'he went in one side and came out the other unscathed'.

He said, with a tear in his eye that he had also lost so many friends. I told him that I thought he had survived to tell me and others his story.

We held hands a bit longer and we listened the verse in the service, "When You Go Home, Tell Them Of Us And Say, For Your Tomorrow, We Gave Our Today".
