But this beauty was in my garden, a real rarity.

The gradually opening white buddleia seems to be the attraction. I’ve had buddleias in my garden for some time, a rather spindly dark blue and an iffy dark purple one but neither have really proved a success. Two years ago I bought two small plants from the table in Elford Walled Garden. They’re really growing brilliantly this year and my peacocks and white are already enjoying them.

I checked out Muckley Corner Open Space for the Big Butterfly Count but I’ve seen more here, thanks to this lovely plant.
