Every day is a learning day

I came across this on the cycle path and after some research, have come to the conclusion it is a dewberry, sometimes called a blue bramble, "Rubus caesius"
I've never seen it before, it looks like a bramble but its fruits are covered with a sort of waxy looking bloom.
It's great to come across new things.
