Bowes Museum

Son R was with us for his birthday weekend. We left M at home recovering from his beer festival stint and  drove to Barnard Castle for a an urban orienteering event.  This is the Bowes Museum, the beginning and end of the courses and home to  collections of art, fashion and design. A step up from the usual event centre tent in a forest. I ran round the gardens, then round the town, visiting the castle, got lost in a few alleys and back to the museum grounds. For someone who had never been to the town before, my course made an excellent tour.
