Dengie Hundred

This afternoon my brother and I went on one of our Essex jaunts and drove around the Dengie Hundred peninsula area east of Chelmsford that covers the villages and hamlets that lie bordered between the Rivers Blackwater, Crouch and the North Sea.  We stopped for a while at the waterfront in Bradwell on Sea where we saw a Thames Barge sailing along the estuary in the distance. A beautiful sight from days gone by. Thank goodness for my Panasonic FZ200!!   After such a tranquil afternoon, it seemed only natural that once back in Chelmsford, we should round off the day with a couple of pints and dinner at the Fox and Raven.
