Rainy Day

Our last day in Vermont started off with heavy rain storms and thunder. Oh, and an interruption from work. Luckily, I finished up with work right around when the rain was starting to ease up. We headed out for breakfast at a really cute little joint named 'The Little Rooster' - delicious!

We headed out to Bennington VT to see what we could see. We found a covered bridge and a cute little park next to it. We tried going to an alpaca farm, but it was closed due to the rain. We found the Bennington Battle Monument, though it was pouring rain for most of the time we were there!

We found this beautiful church as well, The Old First Church built in 1762. the upper level was split in two. The left side was for teenage boys, the right for teenage girls. It was amazing to see the boys side was covered in graffiti (though with very well done type faces!) and holes, while the girls' side was almost pristine. Some things will always be the same :)

On our drive home we visited some cute local shops including a still functioning pottery factory (done by hand). We made it home late in the evening with still enough time to visit with my sister Becca and Dan. They did a great job watching the house and animals and were willing to do it again in the future :D
