2018 Monday — Going Barefoot
Tomorrow we’re going to un-plug and drive the entire length of the Big Sur Highway. We’ll be down the rabbit hole and gone. We’ll leave Cayucos early enough to stop in Ragged Point or Gorda for breakfast and then spend the remainder of the day out of Internet range, driving, and noodling our way to Monterey with its bottomless Bay. Wednesday we will spend the entire day on the Monterey Bay Peninsula and then most likely drive south on Thursday. We have no appointments to get back to, we have no agenda.
So today was low-key. Doing laundry, paying a few bills, extending the due dates on our library books, and planning what to take with us for the three pups — packing light for all of us.
I’m so excited. Monterey was six-summers ago in our travel-log! Sigh!!!
Good night from Cayucos
on California’s Central Coast,
Rosie (& Mr. Fun), aka Carol
P.S. I should have photographed these little flip-flops from the car, where I first spotted them as Mr. Fun parked the car. They looked so tiny. But I stepped from the car to get a close-up to remove the “noise” of clutter in the frame. The tiny size is lost. Oh well, another lesson learned.
