Snail

After 3 days of not managing to get out and about with the camera I was definitely feeling withdrawal symptoms and the need to do something about it so here is a blip for today.
We had some rain during the night and the ground was still quite damp this morning. I found this snail on the path heading towards some shelter so picked it up and put it on the fence while I nipped in for the camera. By the time I got back out, which wasn't long, it was half way down the fence.
There are very few snails about just now which is good for the veg and fruit but I'm sure we will miss them later in the year if the heat has affected them too much.
