Close to the sun

In lonely lands.

Not an Eagle, but I spent a goodly while this evening watching the soaring spectacle of a buzzard teaching its young to fly. The keening cry, the rise and fall as it was caught by the wind, the swoosh of wings, all worked wonders to settle my soul, I must have spent an hour just being.

At the end of a much needed wet day the sun returned and the light seemed just magical. Ive spent much of my rehab time walking the lanes and paths of where I call home yet I'm still amazed to find new places to pause, new sights to see. This ancient copse of trees makes a good break on a nice circular walk and it seems to be alive with wildlife.
