Common Blues and Field Scabious

Yes, I know, second butterfly shot in a row.  Sorry - but this was taken on Barton Farm this morning - in intense heat that put me off walking further - and with the new lens!

So, a pair of the tiny common blue butterflies getting excited in slo-mo.  Actually, they were hysterical, they kept slipping and almost falling off the rather small flower head and than having to shuffle back on without parting.  The flower is a field scabious (Knautia arvensis).  And the butterflies?  Wouldn't you just know it, the male is the one on top.
(No sniggering in the back row..)

Apart from that, and having a cuppa with the OG, my day has mostly been taken up talking to plumbers and builders about a sudden rather, er, determined leak by the front door.  One thing after another, eh?

Thanks very much for being so kind to yesterday's butterfly.  And thanks also to Cailleach for continuing to host WildWed.

Enjoy your evening, all  xx
