Chaotic Colours
Stopped at Odeceixe Beach on our way home; this is where we started our hike up the coast in March 2015 (took another photo of this donkey, though he was quite hard to find behind all the parasols and tourists this time).
An almost idyllic beach, very sheltered from the Atlantic, and a choice of sea or river swimming - the Seixe river that winds round the far side of the beach forms the border between the Algarve and the Alentejo. The water was actually warmer in the sea than in the river, and both were what you might call refreshing, a result of cooler temperatures than normal. Extra of a beach hut I love there - can you spot the cat?
Welcomed back to our part of the Alentejo by a rising, almost full moon on one side of the wide skies, and a very red sunset on the other - we are home.
