Promontorium Sacrum

This is what the Romans called Cabo de São Vicente, the most southwestern point of mainland Europe, and where I'm standing to take this photo of the cliffs stretching northwards. In the first extra, Mike balancing on the cliffs at Sagres, looking towards the Cabo, and in the next, a close-up of the lighthouse there, the most powerful in Europe.

So many other photos today, so difficult to choose.

Ended the day having our 32nd anniversary meal at a beach bar at Monte Clérigo (superb food and live music, under an almost full moon), but having to share a table with another couple, so much for romance...  but ended up, instead, having a wonderful conversation with the young German couple seated with us, Linda and Alexander, who are now invited to visit us in the Alentejo.
