Went to an excellent small event at The Grove Community Garden, Fountainbridge. Ravi Agarwal who is an environmental activist and photographer from India was there to discuss sustainability, how our ideas of nature are formed and community action with regards to green environments.
I liked the thought that he uses photography to help him think about environmental questions, and that notions about sustainability inform his artistic practice.
Here he is sitting among the marigold which are so important in Indian culture, and bring him happiness and joy.
