Mario sisters

After a very late night I woke at 4 am thirsty and hot. Couldn't get back to sleep after that but enjoyed the peace and the comfort knowing the brum group were still all together for another few hours yet.

After a mega brief FaceTime chat with Dubai Vicki we went for breakfast in spoons. We respected the 2 minutes silence for remembrance Sunday there. Every year, the older I get, the more I realise the sacrifice the people in the armed forces make for us. It moves me more each time and I felt a joint sense of deep thought an respect in those 2 minutes in that packed pub. Looking at these old men that would've been young boys at the time, and the current young men and ladies that are making a similar sacrifice now. I'm pleased we don't overlook this commitment they make, and realise I am fortunate not to witness some of the things they do. I hate fighting, violence, war but I understand why we need our forces. I doubt we will see a future where there is no need for an army :(

A quick blast round the shopping centre and a little embrace with Mario and we were just about ready to collect our bags and head to the station.

Tired and a bit sad to say goodbye, I know I'm going to be on a downer tomorrow.
