Ding Dong Bell Ted!
We went to Lancaster today and the idea was to look around the shops. We parked up and I decided to have a quick look in the museum in the centre of town. I have been in before but not upstairs where I found all sorts to look at. I was spoiled for choice of our blip today but decided on the HMS Lancaster Bell.
This bell is from a armoured cruiser which was launched in 1904 and was the 4th ship by this name. After its launch it protected the merchant ships in the sea lanes of the empire.
The Bell was made in London by Mappin and Webb.
