The accidental finding

A provoking day

I hope it will rain soon. A storm is brewing, but not a drop has fallen.

Morning: long-ish walk to bus station, bus to Cheltenham, long walk to induction for new summer job. Get a lift back to Stroud.

Walk to one of the out of town supermarkets, walk back to the house sit. Feed the cat, sit in the sun frying and attempting a jigsaw. No news about the job I was interviewed for yesterday. This means I haven't got it, I guess.

Clean up a smidgeon, walk home in intense heat, having decided that it's going to rain so I won't water.

Take paracetamol for headache/sunstroke and generally feel awful about not getting the job and being exhausted after this exceptionally busy, hot-as-Southern-Europe week. Watch a Jane Austen dramatisation which magically soothes me. Miss the Blood Moon.

Decide to go to bed early-ish because tomorrow is an outdoor market day. The rain looks set to fall during the morning. I expect we'll all be dancing, however.

Another Paleo book arrived in the post today. I hate to say it, but I've been feeling good since I started trying to eliminate grains from my regular meals. I never even knew that life without grains would be possible. I've not cut out all dairy, bacon and peanuts yet. Slowly, slowly...
