Live it loud!

Fading light

First day in the new office. Unpacked by 10am. Everything working quite quickly except the phones which came to life around lunchtime.
Journey in was a bonus - a full 20 minutes less that the old journey.

The day was dull, wet and miserable so no blip until tonight. Another play with focus stacking. 9 images of this light bulb (to throw some light on the day - if only I could find a way of getting it lit?!?!?).

There is somewhat of a mystery as to when the first lightbulb was created. It seems it was up to 40 years before Edison did his stuff, although his lasted considerably longer than the earlier versions.

After something like 170 to 140 years, depending which you choose, they are now becoming redundant to be replaced by new technology. The fact that newer bulbs don't start as quickly and are not easily and dimmable, certainly with less fine control, these little babies are fast disappearing from our daily lives. How much longer will they be in widespread use?
