Victoria, Vancouver Island
We awoke to a foggy morning. Not much to see at all! After breakfast we had a tour of the galley on the boat which was interesting - I am so impressed by the organisation and the service on board. The shoe in the extras is made from chocolate!
The sun came through and we enjoyed our balcony and generally had a lazy, relaxing afternoon. We arrived in Victoria around 7pm and disembarked. Once again the organisation was impeccable with people to help you find your way to wherever you wanted to go. We took a taxi tour which showed us the highlights - Government House, Craigdarroch Castle, the harbour and water taxis, main shopping areas, the beautiful parks and gardens and finally dropped us off at the waterfront where we saw lots of these beautiful floating houses.
Just before we embarked, we met someone whose Dad lived in the town that joins on to the one we live in, and then a lady who lived there too but now lives in Vancouver. Small world.
We all absolutely loved what we saw of Victoria and would love to spend more time here one day.
