Learn to focus on correct target

Had been at my sister's until nearly midnight, left clutching a couple of cookery books (another skill I'm trying to get better at since the unfortunate self-inflicted food poisoning last year) and a plant I'd given her to look after while I babysat a cat (long story).

Juggling a handbag, some books and a plant, while tentatively navigating the very icy ground, I then saw a building that I thought could make a good picture (tick tock, it was nearly midnight and I hadn't taken a single shot by that point)...

So, grappling with my goods, I fumbled in my bag, produced camera, took shot, realised I had wrong settings and all I got was a pitch-black background and the plant, which I didn't even realise was in shot. Fingers numb, about to drop bags, and feet slipping, I gave up and went home.

Oh well. It's quite funny really.
