Being Grateful

Today we went to Palmerston North which is the city our friend has his radio therapy in Monday to Friday.  We spent the afternoon with him at the Cancer Lodge.  When I walked in there it all seemed very real.  I kept myself together and it was a good afternoon.  The hospital treatments are free and this lodge is also free.  It is beautifully appointed and has everything the patients need while they are away from their own homes.  We are fortunate to live in a country that can and does provide this level of care.  
Palmerston is two hours from our friends farm and this is a scene from the road and is pretty typical of the sheep farming  country in this area.
